Selim Kagee released his debut album Cry For Love with the major label EMI Records in 2012. An eclectic mix of original compositions and evergreen gems peppered with pop, classical and cinematic influences – all give  Kagee’s the opportunity to introduce its versatility and diverse range while enticing listeners and fans with his warm, richly timbered voice. With an elegant and expressive stage presence, Kagee has since gone on to stage many orchestra concerts, performing evergreen ballads and stirring originals using his unique combination of both pop and operatic vocal styles. Audiences can expect to hear timeless classics such as “Can’t Help Falling In Love”, “Besame Mucho”, “Il Mondo”, and chart-toppers such as “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”. Selim cleverly links his songs with interesting and often hilarious anecdotes of his life and journey through music.

Kagee's career highlights have included winning the hearts of all South Africans by performing the South African National Anthem live on international television from Perth, Australia for the Boks vs Wallabies rugby match in 2014, as well as being invited to perform at the prestigious Sergio Franchi Memorial Concert in Connecticut, USA. In 2012 Selim was a featured guest artist with the chart-topping Irish group Celtic Woman on their Home for Christmas album.

"Selim, over the years you have been one of the most professional artists that I have ever worked with. A real gentleman with a voice like hot chocolate being poured over full cream ice cream." -Jenny Wentzel (Events Manager, South African Rugby)

"Possessing a powerful voice, Selim is an impressive new, proudly South African addition to the adult contemporary and crossover fields of which these four greats (Bocelli, Groban, Pavarotti, Bublé) are among the most well-known exemplars." - Classic Feel Magazine
