Simon Palomares is a Spanish-Australian comedian and actor, best known for his character "Ricky" in Acropolis Now.
Just returned from Montreal, Canada, where he was invited by Comedy Central to perform at the prestigious JUST FOR LAUGHS comedy festival .
He has performed comedy shows in the United States, Canada, Spain and Argentina where he performs stand-up in Spanish. More recently, Palomares has toured Australia in a combination cooking program and stand-up comedy show called Palomares Cooks Calamares.
Palomares studied drama and psychology at Deakin University and studied acting at the renowned Juan Carlos Corazza School in Madrid.
He has worked as a writer in Madrid, Spain, for Lo Mas Plus, a nightly review program on Canal+,
Most recently he has performed for the program Nuevos Comicos for Comedy Central (Spain) and is completing a documentary called KO HO NAS for Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) and the BBC.
Palomares has directed episodes of the TV series Neighbours and voiced video games such as Rome: Total War.
After a career spanning thirty years he now divides his time between Australia, Spain and South America presenting the impro hit SetList and working for a number of cruise lines .
